Profile cushions

Following on from the thread drawn Picasso faces, I have made some profile cushions!

Something a little different and not for everyone, which is my stuff all over!

I looked for some like this and couldn't find any, so had a go at making them.

My Vintage Heart

So to get back into making the makes this year,
here are some vintage fabric heart cushions/softies!
They can be for Valentines if you like,
or just as a reminder to someone special that you love them.
These are over in my Etsy store now.xx (love ya!)

Settling in

There's a few blank spaces around here to be filled,
having moved into a brand new home.
This corner in the living area was the last to be cleared of
the bits and pieces of our move.

I've been saving this piece of Sanderson fabric for a couple of years now.
It was just the right size for a large pillow.
The other one is repurposed from an old wool Gap jumper of mine,
which would never get any wear in the climate we live now!

And can you guess what this wool rug was turned into??
No sewing involved this time...

Just some fabric glue and a lampshade that had been white for too long!
I absolutely love the fringe hanging down at the bottom.

All lit up.

Another cushion - this time a stuffed one!
I found this wonderful coffee fabric that has a vintage look.
I've hopefully got enough left to make a cushion cover out of this for the shop too.

One floating shelf at the moment,
and a bit of colour on the couch.

I'm not sure if we'll put some more shelves up here,
or maybe some pics underneath this shelf.
But for now, it is a cosy corner that is now being used alot more often
(than when it looked like the top pic)!x

Blue and White

This fabric reminds me of some Boleslawiec crockery we have.

Fresh and bold, but not too fancy.

I've made  some  cushions to fill the gap I'm
panicking about, at the market coming up.

With the addition of some doilies and vintage buttons.

I gotta say it again here -
I LOVE blue and white!

Mustard Velvet

I've been having visions of floor length mustard velvet curtains.
Instead, I've scratched the itch with a cushion!

Wool Rug Coziness

Maybe its the sudden turn of the weather here,
but this week I've had the urge to make some more
felted wool rug cushions...

I used to sell them at Crafternoon Tea and
the Devonport Craft Market in Auckland - a while ago now.

I've backed these with some comfy corduroy.

And had a go at a rectangle one too.

Theres a bow tie whichever angle you look!

And to go with the purple chair,
we have a purple and orange cushion.
(could probably have got a better angle on the cushion!)
