Profile cushions

Following on from the thread drawn Picasso faces, I have made some profile cushions!

Something a little different and not for everyone, which is my stuff all over!

I looked for some like this and couldn't find any, so had a go at making them.

Sewn Picasso line drawings

Something new, but still free motion sewn!
These are sewn faces of Picasso's line drawings from around 1952.
They are more basic than the detailed Picasso artworks I have been sewing lately. Some are framed and some are available just as they are, for you to frame yourself.

Face make up bags

A face to keep your face in!!
Here are some free motion sewn face make up bags.
They are repurposed from a vintage linen tablecloth.
Let me know if you would like one, or I have a couple of other ones made from an embroidered vintage white linen too!

Vintage buckle Frida brooches

Something a bit different, with repurposing some vintage buckles!
I have turned them in to frames for the little sewn Frida faces.
They have stiffened felt backings and a brooch backing.
I have had these vintage buckles for quite a few years now
and so this is so wonderful to be able to use them in some way!

Iris

These are tiny little sewn faces, where I've tried to get the look of Iris Apfel.
I might make the glasses a little bigger next time, but they're getting there!
They are one of a kind and come in a fabric covered box.

Blue

This custom order was something a bit different.
I was asked to make a textile art of a book cover for the author's birthday!
I used free motion sewing and also fabric paint for the leaves, eyes and lipstick.
It was alot of fun to do, but very time consuming!
