Figures for Halloween

 

Something new and a bit different for Halloween!

Some fungi and flower figures.

And also some lace trim covered and blue and white covered figures 

for a bit of a different Halloween home decor!

New Australiana wildflower neckpieces

{the reverse side of some of the neckpieces, 

before the merino wool backing was attached}

 

 

Here are just some of the new neckpieces I'll be uploading to the shop this week.

They are all made from vintage Australiana table cloths. 

Some were quite faded, but I have added a lot of detail with many many stitches. 

They are all one of a kind, tied with black ribbon and backed with soft merino wool felt.

A new collection!

I've been working on a new collection of dolls recently.

They are A Little Floral Collection!

Floral dresses and some with floral tights too..

crochet scarves and wraps with some new

flower handbags !!

Hoping they will be in store next week!xx

Many stitches make lots of work!

A sneak peak at whats to come this week!

I haven't made any Australiana neckpieces in a long time.

I needed the time to collect some vintage tea towels and table cloths suitable for repurposing into free motion sewn floral neckpieces. They  will all be one of a kind and in store just in time for Mothers Day!xx

A floral Mother's Day!

Here are some of my latest free motion

 sunflower brooches and neckpieces,

new instore in time for Mother's Day!

The sunflowers have SO many little stitches, 

picking out the details of the fabric.

Having a go at a little neckpiece a bit different from the ones I've done before!

It took a while because the stitching is so small and detailed.

I'll hopefully find time to have another go at some point..

(looks more like a pencil sketch from further away!)

My Creative Space ::

Very busy here preparing for a big market -

I'll give you the details on that next week!

My sewing machine is holding up well

 - as long as I de-fluff nearly every day!!

Lots of free motion sewn flowers of course,

 and I've sorted out how to display the big brooches

 - pegged to the top of some little display stands, with added fresh leaves.

(will just need to make sure the sunflower is taller than the others of course)

As well as the neckpieces and brooches, I'm working on something else

that might be suitable for ladies going to the Spring races this year!xx

Working on ::

I've been working on some new floral brooches - which have alot of stitches. 

Trying to pick out the details in faded fabrics.

Also using some felted wool rugs for a bit of a different look.

They are alot of fun to make, but really clog my machine up with fluff!
