Frida Faces

In between custom orders and commissions,
I have updated the shop with a few new Frida Kahlo brooches.
These are one of my favourite things to make,
with their free motion sewn faces, wool rug and fabric flowers and bead earrings.
Each one comes in its own fabric covered box, so that you can keep them safe between wears!

(I've also added a couple of new Prince brooches too)

Just in time for Valentine's Day ::

some free motion sewn Monstera leaf heart brooches!
They are all one of a kind and quite a decent size..

Tiny sewn Bowie faces!

Having made some small Frida Kahlo face brooches before,
I have eventually got round to making some Bowie ones too!
These were so much fun, but much harder to sew than the Frida's.

Iris

The latest tiny face brooches are inspired by the colourful,
amazingly talented Iris Apfel.

They are free motion sewn and each have a different set of beads
at her neck, just like Iris. Large glasses and white hair finish the look.
Available now, as something a little different -
over in my Etsy store!xx

This week

This week I've been working on some new flower brooches and cactus neckpieces.
Something a bit different. The cactus neckpieces are backed with stiffened felt.
Available now over on Etsy!x
