Op Shop Finds (and a makeover)

I had a brilliant op shopping day with the lovely Selina this week.

We found a high street with quite a few charity shops and a few down the side streets too!

I stocked up on wool rugs, as I can never find them when I'm looking out for them.

A teatowel

Some old neck ties, vintage sheets, napkins and a set of trays I couldn't leave behind.

And we split some of this gorgeous Corningware.

I also found this lamp a few weeks ago.

After gazing at it on the side every night,

I finally decided to paint it for a slightly different look.

This is not an op shop find tho!

This is from the lovely Kirsty at Kootoyoo,

who won the Canon Island Photography competition.

By voting for her photographs, I won this Canon camera!

I'm over the moon (and so is Miss 10 who has taken over my old camera)

My Creative Space

Remember the custom made doll giveaway I did for Blogtoberfest?

Well, this is it!

Laurel from Miss Muggins won.

She sent me some of her childhood bedsheet, some beautiful buttons

and some of her Grandmother's hankies!

I put pieces of the hankies on her skirt, 

which unintentionally ended up sort of looking like an apron!

And I hired one of my 'staff' to crochet a little jacket 

(for some extra pocket money!).

So, you might know that I got a Pfaff sewing machine recently.

Well - there was a little free-be that came along with it!

(but very weirdly, its not sewing related)

Its a speaker system with a docking station for an iPod or iPhone.

It comes with a remote control and AC adaptor.

And measures 25cm x 12cm.

As I don't have an iPhone, I want to give this away!!
