My Creative Space

I've been experimenting with the record sleeves, trying to make boxes for the record bowls. As expected, I couldn't make them deep enough. So I've now settled on gift bags with handles!

The sleeves all open on one side, so I've sewn that up, and cut open the top. Then folded the bottom so that they'll fit the bowl - and hopefully stand up! Black ribbon for the handles.

And I've nearly finished this little guy. Just need to sew his head up. He'll be off to New York tomorrow for the Dolly Donations for Haiti.

VERY cool idea with the covers as the bags... bet they'll go down a treat at the markets ;)

I think people might buy the bowls for the bags as much as for the bowls. They are very clever and cool.

Fantastic idea - I've seen the bowls made before but never seen them combined with the sleeves!
