Blue

This custom order was something a bit different.
I was asked to make a textile art of a book cover for the author's birthday!
I used free motion sewing and also fabric paint for the leaves, eyes and lipstick.
It was alot of fun to do, but very time consuming!

Linda, Ned and Queen Bee

 Linda Burney

 Ned Kelly

Beyonce

Another three commissioned dolls for the installation later this year!
These have been such a great challenge, keeping me awake at night for sure.
Linda Burney's cloak is made from faux suede with free form fabric paint.
Ned Kelly has his slicked back hair, long beard and removable helmet!
And Beyonce - well - she was the most difficult..

Making three of each doll has taken a while,
it will be surreal to go back to making only one at a time!
