Mothers Day / Pressie Idea

Large personalized zippered pouches.
I always find this a good back up for when we need a last minute pressie.
(though its more for the girls, you could make one for a bloke out of suitable fabrics)

As I'm from the school of 'make it up as you go along',
instead of trying to explain how I make a zipper pouch -
there are plenty of tutorials out there to choose from...

But what I love to add is a word or two.

Read through my tutorial on free motion sewing here,
and add a name or a few words that mean something to you.

This one, is for the little ones friend who's birthday is tomorrow.
I like to make them about 25cm square, a great size for travelling - so useful!

(Thank you Jessi for the fabric - it is perfect for a friend pressie!)

They are both blondies too!

So make something personalized for your Mum or Nana for Mother's Day.
It would be extra special to be able to give them something so original and different.
If you do make one, please post a photo of it on my Facebook page - so we can all have a nosey!xx

I forget Mother's Day every year! This year will be an important one because it's mum's first one without her mum, so I have to do a few special things. Thanks for the gorgeous idea!

Stunning! I love your zippered pouches, mine seem so boring in comparison.
And I am smiling big time as I already have my very own A Little Vintage zippered pouch! (which I adore, thanks again)
