Op Shop Find

Sometimes it pays to have a quick look into an oppy when you're passing.
On the way back from the library yesterday, I dashed in to the Sallies op shop,
leaving the rest of the family in the (air con) car.
And ended up lugging this very heavy vintage Singer out with me!
The table folds up so that it fits inside its carry case.
As you can tell, I haven't even given it a wipe over yet.
Must do some research into getting some bobbins
and maybe an instruction book too!x

What a great find. I used to have some old singer bobbins. I'll try and find them for you.

Awesome find! I remember a while back I was trying to find the manual for an old singer and contacted singerco.com with the serial number and they emailed me a copy of that manual. You could give that a go. Is it the bobbins missing or the bobbin housing? If it's just the bobbins that should be easy enough. Good luck! xx

This is some SERIOUS eye candy for me! Well done! I have owned and used my old Singer for 25 years and I love it... But yours is a beauty compared to my industrial, cold war model haha. Good luck with the bobbin finding.

OMG!! You didn't, you are so tinny... Good on you, so jealous, that would have been great find for my wee Caitlin.. My mum had one exactly like it, I learn't to sew on it... (not that, that did me much good, havn't kept it up). I think I may have some bobbins in mums sewing stuff at mine.. I will have a look.. Well done, excellent find.. I have to get hunting myself.
