A New Creative Space

At last I have my Creative Space back again!!

It didn't look like this a couple of days ago though! It was the last space to get sorted, after moving in.

There were boxes everywhere - we had nearly 200 packages/furniture to unpack/unwrap. I found the dolls packed up, in the Ikea futon footstool. They hadn't been opened by quarantine at all!

Quite a bit had been opened though, and then things like tools had been chucked anywhere. So unpacking was a surprise. What was written on the box, wasn't necessarily what was in the box!
(we weren't allowed to pack the boxes ourselves - for insurance purposes)

Anyway, I had another sort out of all my fabic. So am going to try and only keep what I can fit on the shelving unit (top photo).

We'll see how long that lasts.

My sewing machine had been put in its original box,so was safe and sound!

Part of my Creative Space is the dining room, and also a space for the computer table (its an L shaped room). Unfortunately, being a rental - we can only put pictures up where there are already hooks.

I found this little guy, he doesn't look too happy though. Maybe because his legs were sewn on wonky. Leave a comment if you know of a good home for him,  I'll pick someone and send him off tomorrow!!

Well, thats my first Creative Space for this year Kirsty! xx

So lovely to see you settling in and making yourselves a home. I hope you have such wonderful adventures in this new home. And I vote for Jess, she would definitely give that little guy the best home. Imagine the fun he could have with her gang. X

I so remember that wait. I swear those shipping containers move nothing faster than a snails pace. What I also remember, is that unpacking is just like Christmas! We even scored a box of wire coathangers. Yep. Thanks for that...

Welcome to Australia!
Glad to see you've unpacked, and haven't appeared on an episode of Border Security or anything. Actually, Mr Wonky Legs looks like he's been embarrassingly frisked...
Good luck with keeping that stash in check. If you can do it, you're a better woman than me!

yes my studio was the last place to be set up when we moved. I lost a little creative mojo after so many weeks of absence but you seem to be fired up. Good to see you back.
