A New Creative Space

At last I have my Creative Space back again!!

It didn't look like this a couple of days ago though! It was the last space to get sorted, after moving in.

There were boxes everywhere - we had nearly 200 packages/furniture to unpack/unwrap. I found the dolls packed up, in the Ikea futon footstool. They hadn't been opened by quarantine at all!

Quite a bit had been opened though, and then things like tools had been chucked anywhere. So unpacking was a surprise. What was written on the box, wasn't necessarily what was in the box!
(we weren't allowed to pack the boxes ourselves - for insurance purposes)

Anyway, I had another sort out of all my fabic. So am going to try and only keep what I can fit on the shelving unit (top photo).

We'll see how long that lasts.

My sewing machine had been put in its original box,so was safe and sound!

Part of my Creative Space is the dining room, and also a space for the computer table (its an L shaped room). Unfortunately, being a rental - we can only put pictures up where there are already hooks.

I found this little guy, he doesn't look too happy though. Maybe because his legs were sewn on wonky. Leave a comment if you know of a good home for him,  I'll pick someone and send him off tomorrow!!

Well, thats my first Creative Space for this year Kirsty! xx

Well...

...that was a longer time away from here than I had planned!  After living in a hotel for a very long time, our shipping container eventually arrived here in Australia. And we are now in a rental - yay!!!!  What is not yay, is that my computer went a bit funny, and I've lost all my photos that were on there - great.
Anyway, while I was without a sewing machine - I bought a crochet hook and made a rug for the girls. (not that they need one right now!) I'd only just learned how to do the treble stitch, so this was good practice!

And a cover for my new phone!

The girls are loving school here. The little one will be joining the Easter Hat Parade soon, so I've made some bunny ears and put them on a plastic bowler hat. She's going to add a few other things - which is going to look very cute!

And this is a very last minute piece, for a charity exhibition in Tokyo. Money from the sale of artwork will go to the Japanese Red Cross Society. They have asked for artwork to include a heart somewhere - can you spot mine?

PS. its good to be back!x
