My Own Doll

It was 'Frivolous Friday' at my daughters school today. So Miss E wanted to go as one of my dolls. (just an excuse to wear make-up I think!) After having a sleepover camp at school this week, she was up very late, and we didn't have much time. So slapped on make up, dress and some plaits. Done!

And heres a new doll to take to the lovely Devonport Craft Market this weekend. Her dress is made from some vintage patchwork. And her necklace is actually a turquoise bracelet of mine. It looks better on her! Let me know if you've got any ideas for a name for her. I'm stuck on Mona Lisa because of the 'almost smile'...

Little doll indeed. Your daughter is gorgeous. I can see where you get your inspiration from. Mona Lisa is a great name for her. She also looks like an Elvira to me. :o) See you on Sunday.

Mona Lisa! That made me smile :) I so agree but I guess people expect a faithful rendition when you reclaim famous names like that ;) Why not keep it at "Mona" and if they get the joke that's great and rather why they should buy it! :) K

p.s. Your daughter looks divine... I think the dolls would aspire to be like her :)
