A Little Vintage Giveaway!

I've been wanting to do a giveaway for a while now. So after 3 months of blogging, here it is! Up for grabs is this girl made from vintage kiwiana fabric, felt and tea stained calico. She is stuffed with new polyester fibre fill. Her face is handpainted, then heat set and her arms & legs are doubled stitched for durability (yes, shes been through a bit in life already!). I'll also include 5 doll greeting cards as well!

All you need to do to win her, is leave a comment with your suggestions for dolls names eg: Miss Gretl/Master Edward (1 or 2 is fine). Make sure you include your email or link to your blog etc. If you don't have a blog or google account, just email me through my profile on the left!

If you mention the giveaway on your blog/facebook etc, you'll get 2 entries (just let me know you have done so). You have until sunday March 21st 10pm (NZ). The winner will be chosen randomly and announced on tuesday March 23rd. Entries from all countries accepted! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Ohhh, she is just beautiful! I always like the old fashioned names for dolls...Mavis, Edna, Myrtle, those sorts of names.

My fingers are doubly crossed for this giveaway!!

She is gorgeous! Can I steal a pic to put on my blog? Although I am not sure I want to, because then you might get more entries and there will be less chances for me to win!

Girls: Stella, Lily Mae, Molly, Izzy, Georgie, Madison
Boys: Angus, Jacobus, Antonius, Max, Lucca

PDD - Thats fine! I thought that too, if I get lots of entries, then I'll do some runner up prizes!?

Oh I just love her, and her dress is to die for!

I think her name is: Miss Mimi La Rougue!

I think she looks like a Miss Kitty and for another I would say Master Benjamin. Your dolls are lovely. Hope I'm lucky but good luck to all.

I can't decide between Miss Mirabelle and Miss Mabelle (Mae for short).
I am amazed by their faces (I came from Creative spaces to your blog) - they are quite mesmerising!

I love the kiwiana fabric. I've been drooling over your dolls ever since I found your blog last week.

I think Sarah's 'Mimi La Rouge' is genius! I'm going to go with: Sasha Turnbuckle.

P.S I Facebooked about it. Will definitely be posting on my blog about your dolls but don't know if I should mention the competition and cut down my chances...I MUST WIN HER!!

OK - another entry please! I just posted it on my blog! Still not sure that was the right thing to do :) As far as my chances go, that is.

she is amazing! count me in for a chance to give her a loving home, and I think that she totally looks like a Tallulah-Aroha. hyphenated, because it makes her feel even MORE special. :)

Oh, she is just adorable and I know my little girl would love her very own "Kiwi Anna"!

With those beautiful lips she could also be a kitsch "Ruby Rosebud"

I think she looks like Kailee Belle.

Hi Jennie. I'd have to take a cue from you and name the girls Miss Eloise or Miss Madeleine after my girls and Tristan or Hugo for the boys. Stately names for stately young men! Great giveaway. She is scrumptious but given that we have 3 of your dolls in our house already, maybe I'm being a little greedy entering this!!

Songbird Designs said...

She is a stylish lady, contemporary but with a classic feel too. I am thinking Miss Amelia Jane. She looks like an Amelia. Yes, Its Amelia Jane for me. Crossing Fingers. Sarah.

PS. FB mention too!

She is beautiful! I think she looks like a Miss Minnie-May or Miss Camilla-Fleur, very elegant!

I'll linkie on my personal FB and Fantail Digital Art FB too...I'll just have to make it sound real nasty so no one wants to enter! ;)

I like Stella Mae, she looks like she's got some spunk.

Chrissy from Silver Jandals said...

I think she's got to be named after the golden kowhai on her dress. Here's three suggestions:

Orabella (an Italian name meaning beautiful gold)
Xanthe (a Greek name meaning golden)
Aurelia (Latin name meaning)

And I'll post about it on silverjandals.blogspot.com!

Yuri said...

ooh she's so cute and pretty!

What a darling doll! How about Lucinda or Amelia?

Pam said...

She's really lovely. Her little face is so sweet. She actually makes me think of a fictional character from a series written by Kerry Greenwood(Aust). It's set in the time of flappers and her name is The Honourable Miss Phryne (pronounced fry-nee)Fisher. :))

babalisme said...

Jemima!! Oh, it's so overrated for a human child but it fits perfectly for a doll!

Seaside Siblings said...

so cute! I think she should be called Miss Tui (being a little kiwiana doll).

Your dolls are so gorgeous. I am so happy they are that little bit more cheerful now! I would love you to name a doll "Barbara Ann" after my gorgeous mother in law or "Emma Louise" after my niece- both of whom look like your dolls.
I'll facebook this too, and twitter it, and stick it on my blog- unexpectedhug.blogspot.com

I have just stumbled on your blog via Curlypops and Her Library adventures. Gorgous blog and lovely super lovely dolls....

Me thinks Rita, Wanda, Gloria - they remind me of 40's flappers.

Wow what awesome dolls! I love the stockings.
My vote would be Mildred or Colette :)
