Old & New

I hope you guys had a lovely christmas!

We made some little rosemary xmas trees
for our table.

One of my favourite gifts was from my Aunt and
Uncle. Some vintage embroidery and doilies.
Also a Jamie Oliver dish made from recycled
wine bottles!

And this is some new fabric i found today.
Definately something fishy going on...

A brilliant xmas display & dolls with wings!

We went to a great christmas display on sunday.
It was mainly mechanical santas, some on skate boards,
or ski's, trying to trip you up as you walked around!
It was just fascinating for the children.
The framed tree (above) was made from lots of tiny items,
like mobile phones, butterflies, jewels, buttons etc.

Miss G was mesmerised, all these figures were moving.

Yup, thats santa on his slay above their heads!
He was zooming around very fast.

It was actually very dark in here, but you can't tell with
these photos.

And here are the custom made dolls with the fairy wings.

The wings are made from a double layer of felt.
I didn't make them too bulky as they had to fit inside the
unfinished dolls before turning them the right way to stuff.
I didn't want to hand sew them on as they were mainly for
little ones.

They are two sisters and their cousin.

we LOVE HANDMADE dinosaurs!

Had a quiet but good day at Love Handmade craft market today.

I was next to the lovely Jo of Naturally 4 U and also Marianne of
yummy Gretels Gingerbread.

I also caught up with Kylie of Skip Apple and Jess of
Bam Bam Creative - who had a
brilliant custom made dinosaur for me!

Our Miss G (3) loves dinosaurs and the colour purple.
Its up above her bed already.
We couldn't wait till christmas for this one!

Christmas Tree Decorations...

This is a decoration made yesterday by our Miss E (8). Love it.

This is one of 2 'Pudding Bunny' decorations purchased
from the creative Bam Bam Creative today.

And finally our homemade peg dolls!

A peek at dolls for this weekend...

...for Love Handmade craft market on saturday, and the Awhitu Country Market on sunday!

Here they are almost finished.

And a photo shoot for this slightly vintage 60's looking lot.

I've also just finished 4 custom orders, to be picked up this weekend.
Three of whom have co-ordinating fairy wings! So will put up photos of them on the weekend.
Looking forward to my last 2 markets for this year, its been great fun meeting lots of new crafty people over the last couple of months.

Tis the season...

... for custom orders

These have all been posted off, to be wrapped up for christmas.

This one was made from a vintage embroidered pillowcase that was sent to me.

And one of these, is for a girl who loves yellow.
She always wears one blue and one yellow hairclip.
Her sister loves purple.
(and looks a bit like Dolly Parton here!)

Christmas Markets.

Had a busy weekend at Ruby Square Market in Mt Eden yesterday. Then at the Devonport Christmas Festival Craft Market today.

This is the stall i shared with Sarah of Cotton Kiwi.

It looked great with Sarahs bunting for decoration.

A new Miss Kitty made with vintage fabric from Salvage.

This girl went pretty quick!

And this one was just happy to hang out in my new handbag!
