Mr Bowie

 


 




 


 



I have been wanting to have a go at making a David Bowie doll for a very very long time. 
So to coincide with the new exhibition 'David Bowie is' that has just opened
 at The Australian Centre of the Moving Image, I have made these two!
The first one is based on the iconic outfit designed for Bowie by Kansai Yamamoto. 

The second doll I have based on an outfit he wore singing
 Starman on Top of the Pops in 1972.

There is an interesting BBC documentary on this early part of Bowie's career 
about the evolution of Ziggy Stardust over here if you're interested!

    His eyes are the same colour, but appear different because of the different sized pupils!
